- 2019 Canoe Journey Volunteers Needed - The Swinomish Tribe is expecting up to 6,000 guest from July 21st -23rd for this year's Canoe Journey. The Tribe is requesting volunteer help from Shelter Bay residents for guest services, shuttle drivers, and general assistance. If you are interested, please contact Rebecca @ 360-466-7380. Volunteers can drop in at any time at the Social Services Building located at 17353 Reservation Road. Canoes will be staging at Rainbow Park in Shelter Bay on Monday July 22th between 3pm and 6pm. Please be aware of limited parking in the area, so you may want to take a bike or walk.
- The Board of Directors has placed a Burn Ban on Martha's Beach. There are no fires allowed in the fire rings (or anywhere on the beach) from May 1st through October 31st. You may use charcoal for the bbq's or a propane bbq for cooking.
- Fireworks: Our Governing Documents do not allow any fireworks in the Community.
